G282 Universal Fabric Wear Tester Operation Steps

G282 Universal Fabric Wear Tester is equipped with a flat wear test head (inflatable membrane wear test method) and a curved wear test head, as well as the required weights and sandpaper. It can perform flat wear, curved wear, edge wear, folded edge wear, anti-frost, hemming, and napping wear tests. The test sample can be dry or immersed in water, oil, or other liquids. It can be used for woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, coated fabrics, napped fabrics, socks, felt, non-woven fabrics, deep fabrics, yarn, ropes, plastic films, rubber, leather, paper, and many other materials.

Main parameters:

1. Clamp ring inner diameter: 94mm;

2. Locking ring height: ≤9.5mm;

3. Speed: 120±15/min;

4. Stroke: 25mm;

5. Air pressure: 62kPa (9psi).

Operation steps:

First: prepare the accessories and test samples;

Use the sample wrench to disassemble the clamp;

Install the tympanum and sample in the clamp;

Tighten and fix the clamp;

Fix the abrasive in the upper clamp;

Install the weight;

Turn on the instrument and enter the operation interface;

Set the number of turns and adjust the air pressure;

The sample expands to a certain height as the air pressure increases;

Lower the upper clamp to make abrasive contact with the sample;

Press the start button;

The abrasive and the sample continue to rub;

The sample is worn and stops automatically;

Turn off the instrument and end the test. After the instrument test is over, remove the sample for analysis and comparison to evaluate the wear resistance of the material surface.
