Respiratory Resistance Tester method to detect respiratory resistance of masks

The Respiratory Resistance Tester TQD-03 developed and produced by QISNUN is used to measure the inhalation and exhalation resistance of medical masks, disposable masks, ordinary masks, dust masks, and anti-fog masks under specified conditions. It is suitable for mask manufacturers, national Labor protection equipment inspection agencies conduct relevant testing and inspections on mask products, also known as mask inhalation resistance tester, medical mask expiratory resistance tester, medical surgical mask breathing resistance tester, etc.

The Respiratory Resistance Tester detects the expiratory resistance and inspiratory resistance of masks. The detailed operation methods are as follows:

1. Sample preparation: Determine the number of samples as needed, and carefully check that the samples should have no obvious defects. Sample pretreatment: Take the sample out of its original packaging and process it in the following order:

Mask & Respirator Breathing Resistance Tester2.jpg

(a) Place in (38±2.5) ℃ and (85±5)% relative humidity environment for (24±1) h;

(b) placed in a dry environment at (70±3) °C for (24±1) h;

(c) Place in (-30±3)℃ environment for (24±1)h;

Before each step, the temperature of the sample should be returned to room temperature for at least 4 hours, and then the subsequent test should be carried out; after the treatment, the sample should be placed in an air-tight container and tested within 10 hours.

2. Detailed steps for the Respiratory Resistance Tester to detect the expiratory resistance and inspiratory resistance of the mask

1. Power-on preparation Before turning on the power of the host, it should be confirmed that the power supply is AC 220V 50Hz, and the fluctuation range of the power supply voltage is not more than ±7%. Turn on the power, the welcome interface shown in Figure 4, and power on the instrument to warm up in a standard test environment, and the warm-up time should be at least 30 minutes. If the warm-up time is less than 30 minutes, it will affect the test results.

2. Sample preparation Refer to the introduction in the "Sample Preparation" section to prepare a certain number of samples to be tested. The number of samples shall generally not be less than 5. Visually inspect the specimens and the specimens shall be free of obvious defects.

3. Preparation before the test Select the mode in the test interface, take "inhalation resistance" as an example.

4. Carry out the test

(1) Set time and test flow;

(2) Wear the test sample on the test head mold, adjust the wearing position of the mask and the tightness of the head wear, and ensure the tightness of the mask and the test head mold. During the test, take appropriate measures to prevent the sample from adhering to the mouth of the breathing tube.

(3) Click Test to start the test;

(4) At the end of the test, the system automatically determines the test results, and the test results show pass/fail; Remarks: The standard stipulates that when the gas flow is 85L/min, the inspiratory resistance of the mask is ≤175Pa; the expiratory resistance is ≤145Pa.

5. Carry out the next set of sample test If you need to continue the test, repeat the above test steps.

6. The end of the test After the test is over, click the "return button" to return to the main interface". Turn off the power supply and air source of the device, and cover it with a dustproof cloth. The dustproof cloth should be kept clean and tidy, and there should be no dust.
