The carpet flame retardant tester testing principle

The carpet flame retardant tester is used to detect the combustion effect of small fire sources on carpets,in order to evaluate the flammability and flame retardant performance of carpets when subjected to small flames. It is suitable for carpets with various tissue structures and fiber components, and can be tested using two methods:the hot metal nut method and the urotropin pill method.

  Compliant with standards:

  Testing principle:

Hot nut method:Heat the stainless steel nut in a muffle furnace to 900℃.Place the test sample into the test box,use crucible pliers to place the clamp ring on the sample, and place the heated nut in the center of the clamp ring. After 30 seconds, remove the nut and measure to evaluate the spread of fire on the sample.

Ulotopine Pill Method:Place the test sample into the test chamber, place the retaining ring on the sample, ignite the standard pill, extinguish the flame, and then measure to evaluate the combustion effect.
