HC-2 Oxygen Index Meter Installation Steps

The HC-2 oxygen index meter is an instrument used to measure the oxygen concentration (volume percentage) required by polymers during combustion. The polymer oxygen index value is the volume percentage of the lowest oxygen in the oxygen and nitrogen mixture required for the substance to maintain combustion of 50 mm or 3 minutes after ignition.

Shanghai Qianshi Precision Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2012, focusing on the research and development, design, and production of textile testing instruments, providing textile testing instruments and services for academic research units and testing institutions. Shanghai Qianshi is currently one of the most competitive and R&D-capable textile testing instrument manufacturers in China. The R&D team is composed of a group of experienced engineers. We are committed to serving customers wholeheartedly and striving to promote technological innovation in textile testing instruments.

Installation steps:

1. Place the instrument flat on the workbench after unpacking.

2. Use the plastic reinforced pipe in the random accessories to connect the oxygen-nitrogen mixed gas output end behind the control box to the pipe connector at the bottom of the main engine, and clamp it with a pipe clamp. Note: The nitrogen and oxygen inputs at the back of the control box correspond to the nitrogen and oxygen adjustment positions at the front, and the mixed gas output end is in the middle.

3. Install the oxygen and nitrogen cylinders, and install the pressure-reducing valves on the cylinders. Use the plastic reinforced tubes in the accessories to connect the nitrogen and oxygen connectors on the rear panel of the control box to the output ends of the oxygen and nitrogen cylinder pressure-reducing valves, respectively, and clamp them with pipe clamps. The cylinders and pressure-reducing valves are prepared by the user.

4. First put the large-hole diffuser ring column upward and the small-hole diffuser ring column downward, and then install the combustion barrel on the base.

5. Fill the glass beads and replace the fixture.

6. The igniter is an ignition device specially selected for ignition, and the length of the flame can be adjusted. Users can inflate (gas for lighters) or replace it by themselves after the igniter gas carried by the user is exhausted.
